Medical Ethics presentations
Definitions of sanctity of life; ensoulment; pro-choice and pro-life; abortion; euthanasia; suicide and fertility treatment
- Both Roman Catholic & The Church of England’s teachings/beliefs about abortion, euthanasia, suicide and infertility treatments
- The law on abortion and euthanasia
- A historical overview of abortion, euthanasia, & suicide
- Explanation of different types of euthanasia
- Explanation of different types of fertility treatment – must include IVF and surrogacy
2 weeks to complete the work – third week presentations. Working individually or in pairs – research in class – working on the presentation for homework (both the blog and the google doc presentation can be done collaboratively without the need for you both to be in the same room at the same time – the other 2 methods will need you to work together – make sure you choose the right type of presentation)
To present can use any of the following:
Google Docs (do not use powerpoint) docs.google.com
Or set up a blog using edublogs.com
Notes
1. None of these involve the need for both members of the group to be present (i.e. if one is away the other will still be able to do the presentation)
2. You will need to email me the link to your work once it is completed (rsca@btinternet.com)
3. If you use google docs you will need to share your document with me so I can access it to mark it
